Right Direction includes turnkey, customizable resources to increase workplace awareness of depression, reduce stigma, and encourage employees to seek help. The free program includes:
- a “Field Guide,” a toolkit which includes a step-by-step implementation plan
- promotional material, such as posters, fact sheets, talking points, and intranet copy
- educational presentations about depression and its effect on the workplace
- PowerPoint templates
Right Direction was developed through a collaborative effort between the Center for Workplace Mental Health, a program of the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, and Employers Health, an employer coalition based in Ohio, with support from Takeda Pharmaceuticals, U.S.A., Inc. and Lundbeck US.The program was created by Marcas Miles and Clare Miller (who, at the time of this writing, is Mental Health Benefits Manager at Facebook).
